The practice of psychology in Minnesota affects the public health, safety, and welfare. The regulations in statute sections 148.88 to 148.98 protect the public from the practice of psychology by unqualified persons and from unethical or unprofessional conduct by persons licensed to practice psychology. The rules in sections 7200.0110 to 7200.6015 further expand the statutes mentioned above. This collection of statutes and rules constitute the Psychology Practice Act.
