Statute Changes Effective August 1, 2020

7/24/2020 8:09:18 PM

A bill with many statute changes was proposed in the 2020, legislative cycle. These changes passed and were signed into law effective August 1, 2020.

What this means to you as a practitioner:
As a professional, you are responsible for ensuring your practice meets all statutory requirements. After August 1, 2020, the full set of statute will be available through the Minnesota Office of the Revisor. You will find items for some areas posted directly on our website.

What you should know:
You must maintain your name, address, email address, and business/place of employment information with the board. Updates are required within 30 days of any change. Failure to receive a renewal notice from the Board does not relieve you of the obligation to renew your license. You are responsible for ensuring you renew on time (at least 30 days prior to the expiration date to avoid a late fee).

Review statute for changes related to:
  • Scope of Practice
  • Continuing Education
