Renewal Information

Use the License Lookup tool on the Board site to verify your renewal. A new renewal date will be created after payment is submitted. Check for emailed payment confirmation. New cards are mailed to your address.
  1. Login: Go to Account Login.
  2. Application: Fill out your renewal form online. Pay with Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. You will receive a confirmation number at the end.
  3. Additional Info: The Board may ask for more information based upon your renewal application.
  4. Continuing education: Confirm continuing education completion as per Minnesota Statute §148.6443.
License Renewal and Late Fees
Renewal Notices and Responsibilities
  • The Board sends courtesy renewal notices approximately 90 days before expiration of your license.
  • Renewal notices will be sent to the last known address on your file with the Board. It is your responsibility to renew on time even if a renewal notice is not received.
Continuing Education Audits
  • Random audits are conducted on a percentage of renewals.
  • Your responsibility: Keeping continuing education records that meet statutory requirements for 2 years after the last day of the biennial licensure period in which the contact hours were earned.
Non-renewal of License
  • If you don't renew, you'll be removed from the authorized practice list and not allowed to use protected titles.
  • Email the Board if you don't plan to renew.
Maintain Current Contact Info (See Minnesota Statute §148.6428)
  • By statute it is your responsibility to update your name, address, and employment info within 30 days of the changes.
  • All Board notices sent to your address on file are considered received.
