Renewal After Expiration

One year or Less After Expiration Date:
Individuals that have missed their licensure renewal deadline, may renew online up to one year after the expiration date. Renewals completed after expiration date will require submission of Continuing Education Audit documentation, Employment Verification, and any other documentation requested to verify practice status. 

One year or More After Expiration Date:
Licenses one year or more after expiration date must request late renewal application documents. Additional information and requirements are based upon the amount of time since license expiration. License status may be verified through the License Lookup tool.
All licensees will be required to submit the following:
  • Renewal Application 
  • Fees
  • Continuing Education Audit 
  • License Verification(s) (for licenses held in other states or jurisdictions)
  • NBCOT Verification of Certification
  • Other information as requested
