Conflict management involves creating systematic approaches to preventing, managing, and resolving conflict in organizations, and may include setting up policies, developing conflict resolution options, communicating about options to employees, and other tactics. While conflict is an inevitable part of organizational life, many organizations do not have processes and systems in place to address conflict early or effectively.
In March 2024, OCDR and Minnesota Management and Budget’s (MMB) Minnesota Employee Well-being team convened state employees from 12 different agencies to design resources to help Minnesota state agencies better manage internal conflict. The ultimate goal is to improve conflict management practices across all agencies. Check back for updates!
