On January 1, 2018, the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board replaced the Board of Teaching. The following rulemakings were initiated by the Board of Teaching.
In 2017, legislation was enacted that required the Board of Teaching to amend rule so that academic and behavioral strategist continuing licenses may be issued and renewed without requiring the candidate to hold or be recommend for licensure in any other licensure field.
Status:
The rulemaking is closed. Rule changes went into effect on July 25, 2017.
In 2017, the Board of Teaching initiated rulemaking to make changes to rule governing Developmental Adapted Physical Education (DAPE) standards. The rulemaking was broadened to include changes to Parent and Family Education standards, Adult Basic Education (ABE) standards, and other technical changes.
