Pearson has redeveloped a series of MTLE content-area tests that will launch at the end of August 2019.

Effective August 25, 2019, the current versions of the MTLE tests listed below will be discontinued:

• Communications Arts/Literature (Grades 5 to 12)
• Early Childhood Education (Birth to Grade 3)
• Instrumental Classroom Music (Grades K to 12)
• Mathematics (Grades 5 to 12)
• Reading Teacher (Grades K to 12)

The last day to register for the current versions of these tests is August 23, 2019. The tests will be replaced by updated versions, which Pearson will begin administering on August 26, 2019. The first date to register for the updated versions was June 4, 2019. Pearson also has preparation materials available on its website for the updated tests.

Please note that the first score reports for the updated MTLE test field listed above will be released in late Fall 2019 after PELSB establishes passing scores.
