Introducing: The Licensure Compliance Learning Commons
The Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB or Board) is launching the Licensure Compliance Learning Commons, a space for learning with and from one another. District staff are the primary audience, but anyone with an interest in licensure compliance is welcome to participate.
The Learning Commons is a series of regularly scheduled, virtual training and working sessions. These one-hour sessions are hosted twice a week on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings.
Learning Commons Essential Details
Join Link: Learning Commons Series
- Tuesdays, 1pm-2pm (May 12, 19, and 26)
- Thursdays, 9am-10am (May 14, 21, and 28)
Recordings of session training segments will be made and posted online for later reference for those unable to participate in real time.
Sessions will begin with a short training segment focused on a particular aspect of licensure compliance or the Staff Automated Report (STAR), not to exceed 10 minutes. The training segment is an opportunity to learn more about getting the most out of license lookup, what Teacher of Record means, how to use the Licensure Assignment Table, and more.
After the short training segment, the Licensure Compliance Learning Commons is a virtual workspace to ask questions and learn in real time from PELSB's Data and Compliance Specialist.
Please direct any questions to PELSB's Data and Compliance Specialist Caren Custer at star.PELSB@state.mn.us.
