Our job is to determine whether you have been treated fairly and that your rights have been upheld. The Office of the Foster Youth Ombudsperson is committed to ensuring the independent and impartial review of complaints or concerns related to those in foster care in Minnesota.
While we aim to address complaints as quickly as possible, there may be complicated, serious, or systemic complaints that require us to open a formal investigation that will take longer to address. We expect to only rarely open formal investigations. If we do make a decision to investigate, we will update you as often as we can during that process. We appreciate your understanding as we gather evidence and prepare our recommendations.
