Some complaints may be about a general issue, related to law, policy, or procedure and not related to a specific person in foster care.
Other complaints may be related to something that happened in the past. We encourage you to submit these complaints, as one of the ways the Office can be most impactful is by promoting change at the systems level.
We appreciate the information you provide and review each complaint. We may use your complaint in a broader review of issues that we are addressing. Due to limited resources, we cannot investigate all complaints even if they have merit. The Office prioritizes complaints about matters related to the health, safety, and welfare of youth in foster care and actions and policies in which we are likely to have an impact. The Office cannot force agencies, individuals, or providers to take any action. The Office can work to resolve issues, investigate, make recommendations, and publish reports.
