How to use this website

Deaf Rights Minnesota has gathered together hundreds of links to pages on State websites related to disabilities and aging. Use the top navigation bar to select a retrieval tool:

  • Deaf Rights Topics provides browseable topic categories for drilling down to the desired topic area.
  • A-Z Index is an alphabetical listing of all topics.
  • State Agencies displays all pages on the website from a specific agency, board, council, or division.
  • Search allows full-text searching of the topics, titles, and link descriptions.
Duties of MNCDHH The Commission's duties are: assist individuals who are deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing to be self-advocates; advise the governor, legislature, judicial branch, and state commissioners on the development of policies and programs that affect people who are deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing; provide a review of current services, programs, and legislation concerning individuals who are deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing for the governor, legislature, judicial branch, and state commissioners; create public awareness of issues in the deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing state communities; recommend legislation that would improve the social and economic status of people who are deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing to the governor, legislature, judicial branch, and state commissioners; and work with other state and federal agencies and organizations to promote the economic development of people who are deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing.
