How to use this website

Deaf Rights Minnesota has gathered together hundreds of links to pages on State websites related to disabilities and aging. Use the top navigation bar to select a retrieval tool:

  • Deaf Rights Topics provides browseable topic categories for drilling down to the desired topic area.
  • A-Z Index is an alphabetical listing of all topics.
  • State Agencies displays all pages on the website from a specific agency, board, council, or division.
  • Search allows full-text searching of the topics, titles, and link descriptions.
Minnesota State Academies Board Responsibilities and Power The board is responsible for promoting high academic standards and ensuring that students receive the "most beneficial and least restrictive program of education." The board is responsible for being the trustee of the State Academies' property and may apply for grants for the Academies. There are nine board members and at least one of the members must be deaf. The board has the power to hire personnel, request assistance from the department of education, and establish building maintenance agreements with public and private agencies/institutions.
