Propane Meters

Annual inspection of commercial propane (LPG) meters was changed in 2004. It is now the responsibility of all propane dealers to arrange for the annual inspection of their meters with a registered inspector as required by Minnesota Statute §239.011.

While Minnesota Weights and Measures investigators will not be conducting annual propane meter inspections, they will continue to monitor propane equipment in the state. Any propane meters which are missing a calibration seal or a current inspection sticker will be tagged and/or removed from service.
