The Minnesota Board of Psychology (Board) is excited to host its 2015 Continuing Education Conference: Beyond the Boundaries on Thursday, May 21, 2015.

Beyond Geographic Boundaries: Psychology Inter-jurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT)
Join Dr. Alex Siegel, JD, Ph.D., ASPPB's Director of Professional Affairs as he introduces Minnesota psychologists to the PSYPACT. The PSYPACT is an interstate compact designated to facilitate tele-health and temporary face-to-face practice of psychology across jurisdictional boundaries. In this portion of the conference participants will:
  • Understand the legal structure and foundations of an interstate compact.
  • Understand how PSYPACT will provide for legal and ethical inter-jurisdictional psychological practice.
  • Learn how PSYPACT provides for the use of telepsychology and temporary face-to-face practice of psychology across jurisdictional boundaries.
  • Learn what needs to be done for Minnesota psychologists to participate in PSYPACT.
Beyond Professional Boundaries
Board members and staff will provide a unique glimpse into the Boards Complaint Resolution Committee Process and relevant issues that extend beyond issues related to professional boundary crossings. In this portion of the conference participants will:
  • Improve understanding of Board investigations
  • Understand the process for an educational or disciplinary conference
  • Analyze critical issues of the Psychology Practice Act
This conference is being offered twice on the same day. The content will be the same on both sessions. Please only register for either the morning or afternoon session. The morning session is from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (3 CEUs). The afternoon session is a repeat of the morning session and is offered from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (3 CEUs).
The intended audience is licensed psychologists, applicants for licensure, and individuals interested in the changing landscape for the practice of psychology in Minnesota.
