Chief Equity Officer
Minnesota’s Chief Equity Officer, serving in the Office of Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan, is responsible for connecting external stakeholders with state government partners for the purpose of achieving equity and opportunity for everyone in the state of Minnesota.
As a member of the Governor and Lt. Governor’s Senior Leadership Team, the Chief Equity Officer collects input from community members and makes recommendations to the state’s leaders on budget, policy, and executive actions targeted at eliminating disparities across race, geography, ability, gender, sexual orientation, and economic status.
