How do I get a LinkedIn Learning license?
Reach out to your LinkedIn Learning sub-administrator (which is likely your agency's HR director, training director, or Learning Management administrator) to verify if you do have or if you should have access to LinkedIn Learning. Licenses are limited; your training director, supervisor, or manager can work with the Enterprise Development Team to help you obtain a license. You will receive an email from LinkedIn Learning to activate your account.
If you're unsure how to get in touch with your LinkedIn Learning sub-administrator, or you are an MMB employee, you can fill out this form to request a LinkedIn Learning license. Filling out the form does not guarantee you will receive a license. An Enterprise Talent Development (ETD) representative will follow up with you on the status of your request.
Set up your LinkedIn Learning account
- You will receive an email invitation to access LinkedIn Learning to activate your account. This email will come from directly from LinkedIn Learning, so be sure to check your spam folders if you do not find it in your inbox. Instructions for activating your LinkedIn Learning account will come to you via email directly from LinkedIn Learning.
- Visit LinkedIn Learning and login with your State of Minnesota email address. When you first log in, you have an option to connect your account with your personal LinkedIn account. Connecting your personal account allows you to share your class accomplishments with your network. You can still complete LIL courses without connecting to your personal account. Access this document with instructions on how to connect your personal LinkedIn profile to your LinkedIn Learning license.
- After you log in, select your job title and any skills you’re interested in learning more about. Then let the learning begin!
