Getting Started
LinkedIn Learning License
You need a LinkedIn Learning license to use the platform. To get a license, reach out to your agency’s LinkedIn Learning sub-administrator. Your sub-administrator is likely a training director, learning management administrator, or human resources director at your agency. Your training director, supervisor, or manager will work with the Enterprise Talent Development (ETD) team at Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) to help you get a license.
Set Up Your Account
- You’ll receive an email from LinkedIn Learning to activate your account. Follow the instructions in the email. If you don’t see it in your inbox, check your junk folder and move it to your inbox so future messages reach you.
- You can activate your account on its own or connect it to your personal LinkedIn profile.
- If you keep your LinkedIn Learning account separate, you’ll log in using your state email address and the password you create during activation.
- If you connect your accounts, you’ll use the same email address and password you use for your personal LinkedIn profile. Connecting your personal profile allows you to share your course accomplishments and ensures your learning history is backed up beyond your state service employment. This is optional, and you can still complete courses without connecting the accounts.
- Watch the How to Use LinkedIn Learning course to better understand all the features available to you and how to use them.
