Leadership Development Programs
ETD has provided support to hundreds of Minnesota state employees in their leadership development through our SEAL, ELI, and SLI programs. Many of our alumni have experienced increased opportunities and career advancement as a direct result of the development and preparation acquired through our programs.
Begin the path to leadership by enrolling in our Strategic Effectiveness for Aspiring Leaders (SEAL) program. This four (4) day program is filled with opportunities to explore readiness for leadership responsibilities and will provide you with the basic fundamentals to support your potential move into roles with broader leadership implications.
Our Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) and Senior Leadership Institute (SLI) are premier programs in leadership development. These cohort-based programs include sessions covering leadership topics delivered over a course of seven months for ELI and Three months for SLI. All employees who meet the program requirements are welcome to apply via their Agency’s internal process. Agencies will then determine which candidates to support for participation based on candidate readiness for future leadership opportunities. An executive committee comprised of senior leaders and past ELI and SLI graduates will review all agency-supported applications and select the final cohort participants for the Fall 2019 program.
