MAELC Scholarships

MAELC's Scholarship Program was designed to attract and retain enthusiastic and qualified students to Agricultural Education at several qualifying Minnesota institutions.

Agricultural Education for All Scholarship
Due February 1, July 1 and November 1 each year

The Agricultural Education for All Scholarship seeks to provide financial support for both undergraduate and graduate students, particularly those underrepresented within the agriculture teacher field. Undergraduate students must be entering their first year or currently enrolled in an Agricultural Education-Teacher Preparation program in Minnesota, which includes incoming freshmen, transfer students (transferring colleges/universities or majors), and current students. Graduate students must be entering their first year or be currently enrolled in the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Master of Science Initial or Additional Licensure program in Agricultural Education. Those firmly committed to teaching agricultural education in Minnesota should apply for this scholarship.

Undergraduate Agricultural Education Scholarship
Due February 1 each year

The Undergraduate Agricultural Education Scholarship is available to undergraduate Minnesota Agricultural Education-Teacher Licensure students who are student teaching between Fall 2025-Spring 2027. Students must be registered as full-time and attending Southwest Minnesota State University, University of Minnesota-Crookston, or the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities at the time the scholarship is disbursed.

Graduate Agricultural Education Licensure Scholarship
Due November 1 each year

The Graduate Agricultural Education Licensure Scholarship is available to current University of Minnesota-Twin Cities graduate students enrolled in an Initial or Additional Licensure program in Agricultural Education. Applicants who are firmly committed to teaching agricultural education in Minnesota should apply for this scholarship.
