Requirements During Sale of Hearing Aids During the sale of hearing aids, oral statements made by an audiologist or certified dispenser concerning "warranties, refunds, and services" need to be added to the written contract and the business is required to uphold these statements. The license number of the audiologist or certified dispenser must be on all contracts, bills, and receipts during the sale of hearing aids. If a hearing aid business/employee does not fulfill the contract with the consumer, the commissioner of health may enforce the terms of the contract.
