How to use this website

Deaf Rights Minnesota has gathered together hundreds of links to pages on State websites related to disabilities and aging. Use the top navigation bar to select a retrieval tool:

  • Deaf Rights Topics provides browseable topic categories for drilling down to the desired topic area.
  • A-Z Index is an alphabetical listing of all topics.
  • State Agencies displays all pages on the website from a specific agency, board, council, or division.
  • Search allows full-text searching of the topics, titles, and link descriptions.
Right to Not Disclose Disability Information Unless it is necessary to determine if a person is qualified for a job or membership, it is an unfair employment practice for an employer, employment agency, or labor organization, before a person is hired to: require or request information that pertains to a person's disability; require a person to undergo a physical examination unless the exclusive purpose is to comply with a federal or state law, regulation or rule; seek and obtain information about a person's disability if it will be used to make a job decision; advertise the job or organization has a preference, limitation, specification, or discrimination regarding a person's disability.
