Interpreter Referral Services and Directory Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Division maintains and coordinates statewide interpreting or interpreter referral services for public or private use. If the director chooses to, the organization may charge $3 for each referral and the actual costs of the interpreter services provided by the department. The organization does not charge the $3 fee to state/local government agencies, interpreters, or consumers who are deaf, deafblind, or hard of hearing. The funds raised from this are invested into the general fund. MN Statute 256C.25
