Removal of Barriers for People with Disabilities It is a discriminatory act if architectural and communication barriers in the structure of a facility or a vehicle are not removed when their removal is "readily achievable." It is also discrimination to not provide alternative accommodations when the removal of the barriers is not "readily achievable." In addition, it is discrimination if an entity does not take the steps to ensure that a disabled person is not excluded, denied services, segregated, or otherwise treated differently because of their disability unless adjusting the product/service would "fundamentally alter the nature" of the good/service/facility.
