Military veteran police officer terminated after causing damage to gas pump. City alleged was not forthcoming in admitting how damage occurred, and at risk of being placed on Brady-Giglio list.              

Grievance Sustained in Part        Veteran returned to work after serving 60-day unpaid suspension. Officer immediately reported pump was broken, and admitted to throwing the handle in the investigation. While violation of multiple policies justifies lesser discipline, no evidence that he lied under Garrity.
