Issue: Retiree Sick Leave Payout
2 EEs with 25 years of service resigned form County and accepted positions in other jurisdictions. Did not receive sick leave payouts consistent with retirement. ER argues Ees did not retire, they went to other jobs and were not eligible for PERA retirement benefits as required in CBA.
Grievance Denied EEs did not have break in service between public employment jobs to meet the PERA eligibility requirements for "retirement".
