Issue: Holiday Scheduling/Past Practice

Grievance filed after night crew required to work night of Thanksgiving Day rather than the historic Wednesday before. ER argued schedule revised to meet business needs, was allowed under CBA, and proper notice was given.

Grievance Denied Parties previous past practice does not override the CBA for several reasons: zipper clause precludes it from having binding effect, factual circumstances around the practice have changed (security issues/weather concerns at new plant location), and is a matter properly reserved for management discretion (scheduling).
