Join the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) for our Back-to-School Resource Fair on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. at the Elmer L. Andersen Human Services Building (Room 2370), 540 Cedar St, Saint Paul, MN.
This community-focused event brings together DHS, state agencies, local organizations, and parents to support youth development and equitable access to education and wellness resources.
What to Expect:
- Executive Remarks from state leaders championing youth and family services
- Resource Booths featuring education, wellness, and youth development programs
- Direct Engagement with community partners, state agencies, and families
- Donation Drive – Support students in need by donating backpacks and school supplies
- Donation bins available starting July 1 at Andersen and Lafayette (LAF) buildings
- All donations will benefit the Hallie Q. Brown Foundation
Want to Get Involved?
- DHS Employees: Drop off new supplies in building lobbies
- Employee Resource Group (ERGs): Host a booth, organize donations, or provide giveaways
- Community Partners: Host a resource table and share materials
Parking Info:
Street and public parking are available nearby. Please arrive early due to ongoing construction. Suggested lots:
- 9th & Minnesota (near Pedro Park)
- 10th St East & Jackson
- Lot K – East 12th & Cedar (furthest)
