The Central MN Autism Community Resource Fair will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. June 24 at Elk River High School. Fair attendees can:
The fair is open to the public for people of all ages and stages of their autism journey. Registration is not required but indicating interest on the Facebook event allows staff to plan for the event.
Accessibility: American Sign Language, Hmong, Somali, Russian and Spanish interpreters will be available during the entire fair. A sensory space, staffed by Spark2Hope staff members and sensory-support volunteers, will also be available for attendees in Community Room 105, just off the commons area. Directions: There is currently road construction on US-169 North and South in Elk River, as well as on Highway 10 East and West in Anoka. Here are directions to avoid road closures. Plan plenty of time and watch for any road closures or detours on the day of the event.
From the North: Follow Highway 169 South to Elk River. Take the exit toward 197th Ave NW. Keep right at the fork to continue toward 197th Ave NW. Turn right at 197th Ave NW. Turn left onto Hold St NW. Turn right onto Jackson Ave NW. Turn right onto School St NW. Proceed westbound on School Street, Elk River Senior High will be on your right at the intersection of School Street and Jackson Avenue (stop light).
From the South: Follow interstate 94 to the MN-101 N exit at Rogers. Follow MN-101 North approximately 8 miles to Elk River. Merge onto US-10W ramp to Elk River. Travel approximately 1 mile. Turn right onto Jackson Ave NW. Turn left onto School St NW. Elk River Senior High will be on your right at the intersection of School Street and Jackson Avenue (stop light).
From the West: Follow Highway 10 East to Elk River. Turn left (north) at the Intersection of US-10 and Proctor Avenue (stop light). Proceed northbound on Proctor Avenue approximately 2 blocks to School Street (stop light). Turn right (east) on School Street and proceed eastbound approximately 3 blocks to Elk River Senior High on your left.
From the East: Follow #10 West to Elk River. Turn right (north) at the Intersection of #10 and Jackson Avenue (stop light). Proceed northbound on Jackson Avenue approximately 4 blocks to the Intersection of Jackson Avenue and School Street (stop light). Turn left (west) on School Street, Elk River Senior High will be immediately on your right
Parking: Free parking in the Elk River High School parking lot off School Street.
