Rich Pennington

(he/him/king)

Rich Pennington (he/him/king) was born in Chicago and raised in Minnesota by a single mother. He witnessed firsthand the challenges posed by antiquated and inequitable systems. This inspired him to pursue a degree in family social science with the aim of assisting individuals facing seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

Rich has over 16 years of experience in developing, facilitating, and evaluating programs focused on equity, inclusion, and social justice. He has contributed to community-centered organizations and initiatives, including museums, schools, summer camps, community centers, libraries, recreation centers, community celebrations, and Freedom Schools.

As an Inclusion Consultant for the updated Olmstead Plan, Rich brings a unique perspective as someone recently experiencing a major life change. King has had to relearn fundamental ways of living such as walking.

He is passionate about ensuring every person receives basic human dignity, respect, and consideration. He is eager to continue to drive meaningful change by offering his expertise and advocacy.
