Adam Harrington

(he/him)

Adam Harrington (he/him) is a Navy veteran with service-connected disabilities who has helped other veterans learn how to better advocate for themselves for over 13 years. In addition to this role as an Inclusion Consultant, he works as a Nationally Certified Recovery Specialist and assists people on their paths of recovery by empowering them with the tools and resources to realize self-efficacy.

Adam loves helping others, but also understands that in many cases, he simply doesn't “know”. Actively listening to the stories of others and understanding their truths and needs are key to understanding paths to improve inclusion, equity, and equality. He enjoys helping people create realistic goals to achieve person-centered results.

Adam grew up in a small town in Louisiana and learned at a young age that we should leave the outdoors better than we found it. Applying this to all aspects of life is his compass. Creating positive change can start with just one person, and that singular point has the power to spread like wildfire and reshape our community for the better. Working with Dendros, the other Inclusion Consultants, and the Olmstead Plan team on this project will help fan those flames.

Adam lives with two cats. While they are sometimes good, his curtains may disagree!
