About The Survey

The Council on LGBTQIA2S+ Minnesotans is conducting a comprehensive community needs assessment, including a statewide community needs survey. This survey is an opportunity for LGBTQIA2S+ individuals 18 and older and parents of LGBTQIA2S+ youth to share experiences, challenges, and priorities to help shape policies, programs, and advocacy efforts in Minnesota.

Why Take The Survey

Why Take The Survey?
  • Influence state-level decisions that impact LGBTQIA2S+ communities 
  • Help direct funding and resources where they’re needed most  
  • Ensure the survey reflects a diversity of voices and experiences  
Who Can Participate?
  • LGBTQIA2S+ individuals who are 18 and older and live in Minnesota 
  • Parents and care givers of LGBTQIA2S+ youth who are under 18 and live in Minnesota 
What to Expect
  • The survey takes about 20-30 minutes to complete 
  • Your responses are confidential and anonymous 
  • No question is required. It is ok to skip any question you do not feel comfortable answering. 
  • You will be asked about: 
    • Your feelings of physical and emotional safety   
    • Your feelings of connection to community  
    • Your mental and physical health  
    • Your experiences trying to get help and access resources 
    • Your demographic information  
  
We appreciate you taking the time to add your voice to this effort.  We realize that some of these questions may bring up difficult feelings.
