Oby Ballinger

Oby Ballinger is the founding organizer of Prism Organizing Network, a statewide, multiracial and multifaith organization dedicated to building power and community for LGBTQIA2S+ Minnesotans. He launched Prism in January 2025 to develop leaders working for LGBTQ equality, with a strategic focus on community organizing in greater Minnesota and near-but-outside the core Twin Cities. Oby is a pastor in the United Church of Christ, served congregations for fifteen years, and has previous organizing experience working for LGBTQ inclusion and racial justice. He grew up on a farm near Rochester, attended college in Moorhead, and now lives with his husband in St. Paul.
