Newcomer Education for Wellness (NEW) is a free resource designed to help refugees, immigrants, and newcomers to the United States navigate the health care system and take care of their health. Subscribe to the series to receive free, accessible health education videos in your own language, texted directly to your phone! No identifiable information is required, and phone numbers are only used to send educational health videos. Participants in this project will receive several 2-minute health education videos over several weeks.

NEW videos are designed to be accessible regardless of language or literacy, so all can understand and use the information with confidence. These educational videos are for general knowledge and informational purposes only. They do not give medical advice. Always talk to your doctor or other health care professional for advice or questions you have about your health.

The videos are available in Arabic, Burmese, Dari, English, French, Haitian Creole, Karen, Pashto, Somali, Spanish, and Swahili. Video topics will cover interpretation services, health care facilities, dental and vision care, stress management, and healthy eating.
