Thursday, April 3rd from 5:00 - 7:00pm: Centering Fathers Talking Session on Fatherhood

• Exploring on maternal and paternal impacts in a relationship. Fathers will take a deeper dive on the impacts of meeting the needs of their children, partner and as well as themselves.

Wednesday, April 9 from 1:30 - 3:30pm: Infant Safe Sleep Community Kick off

• Join the Infant Safe Sleep Community Leadership Team and the Minnesota Department of Health to kick-off a series of conversations with African American and Native American communities in Minnesota to elevate community-driven solutions to eliminate sudden unexpected infant death by 2033.

Thursday, April 17 from 12:00 - 3:00pm, and Wednesday, April 23 from 5:00 - 8:00pm: Work Sessions to become eligible for Medicaid doula reimbursement

• Sessions led by Community Aware Birthworker (CAB) in partnership with BECC, BJC and African American Babies Coalition (AABC). Two sessions will be provided, attend one or both - they are free but registration is required.
• The sessions will cover registering with MDH doula registry, MDHS and MN-ITS, MCOS and clearinghouses. Also business insurance requirements/recommendations.

April 22-May 29 Virtual Cohost Training: Moving Beyond Crisis Training of Trainers

• African American Babies Coalition (AABC) is now recruiting experienced rural health care providers, home visitors, teachers, advocates, parents and trainers from communities of color and indigenous/tribal areas to participate in our upcoming virtual Moving Beyond Crisis Training.
