Kevin Pone (he/him) is originally from Minneapolis. He now resides in St. Cloud and has been there for more than seven years. Kevin lives in a disabled environment in an apartment building with residents with many physical and emotional needs. Transportation is a big barrier for him and people in his community.
Kevin has been disabled throughout his life, including experiencing all phases of kidney disease including failure and recovery, low vision from glaucoma and cataracts, and mental illness. He takes over 20 medications a day and is passionate about medication affordability. Kevin has been a self-advocate, as well as advocating for others, for over 20 years.
Kevin approaches this work with an open mind and considers himself someone who listens more than he talks. Kevin brings his story and experiences navigating systems while living with his specific disabilities. He’s very excited to help people who, like him, have disabilities.
