IF YOU HAVE A CANNABIS MISDEMEANOR
If you have a past misdemeanor cannabis conviction, your record may already be expunged. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension automatically expunged approximately 57,000 cannabis-related records. You can go to Minnesota Court Records Online to see if your court record has been expunged.
IF YOU HAVE A CANNABIS FELONY
The Cannabis Expungement Board will review eligible felonies and some misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor cases. There are approximately 98,000 cases to be reviewed. These cases are not eligible for automatic expungement and require a more extensive review process that will take several years to complete.
