Roles & Responsibilities

Assessing and supporting a student's needs for Assistive Technology is a partnership among team members requires shared responsibility in decision making and commitment by all team members across environments. Team members actively participate in the process by:

  • Completing assistive technology training sessions and competencies with proficiency
  • Collecting data and contributing valuable information regarding the student's abilities and needs
  • Linking and embedding assistive technology within the student's curriculum
  • Designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating during the trial period
  • Supporting and encouraging the student's use of Assistive Technology to meet the desired outcomes
  • Contacting the assigned consultant regarding team needs, concerns, and questions
