If the funding source has not authorized the full amount of the cost of the assistive technology, you may have to personally pay for a portion of the cost. But where will the funds come from?
When searching for additional funding sources you may wish to go back and review the funding options listed in Step 6. Possibly you could secure a personal bank loan or home equity loan. Perhaps you could save money in a Minnesota ABLE account. Other options to consider would be to apply for a grant. This may also be a good time to seek out assistance from private, county, community and philanthropic organizations.
