"Always Lost: A Meditation on War, ” is an exhibit that brings home the costs of war and honors those who died in Iraq and Afghanistan. This exhibit will be on display at the M State Fergus Falls campus.
M State is the first stop on a Minnesota tour for the exhibit, which includes Pulitzer Prize-winning combat photos from the Iraqi war by photographers from The Dallas Morning News and the “Wall of the Dead,” which depicts the faces and names of U.S. military war casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan since Sept. 11, 2001.
DAV Chapter 15 in New Ulm will be hosting their 4th Annual Disabled Veterans Pheasant Hunt on Saturday, Sept 20th. Last year 22 Veterans of all ages and all levels of physical disabilities from mild to severe were able to hunt pheasants, shoot sporting clays, and were treated to a catered meal. This hunt pairs the shooters with expert guides and retrieval dogs to give the hunter a special day of independence that they could not otherwise have on their own.
