Jules Edwards is an Anishinaabe parent, gardener, accountant, and advocate. She advocates for Native children and families, specializing in supporting children with disabilities. She is involved with the community, with roles that focus on disability and child safety.
She is a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion writer and public speaker. She is caregiver of youth with disabilities. Jules serves as the President of the Board for Minnesota Disability Support Alternatives, Chair of the Minnesota Senate Autism Council, Parent Advocate for Multicultural Autism Action Network, Board Member of The Arc Minnesota, and cofounder of MN Autistic Alliance.
Her professional development includes Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) fellowship, Association of University Centers on Disability (AUCD) National Training Directors Council trainee, and Wilder Foundation Community Equity Program graduate.
Jules was initially appointed by the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council in 2018 and then reappointed in 2021 when the new agency was created.
