Governor Walz Signs Bills

Legislation provides critical funding to Hennepin County Medical Center, strengthens public safety, and enhances grant oversight

[ST. PAUL, MN] – Today, Governor Tim Walz signed nine bills.

SF 3891, allows eggs to be donated past their quality assurance date.

SF 4339, modifies the Gopher State One Call excavation notice system requirements, including the implementation of an electronic positive response system.

HF 3298, establishes a reimbursement program for underground petroleum storage tank systems with pressurized single-walled steel piping.

HF 3900, modifies policies governing the investment, management, and distribution of the permanent school fund and includes a constitutional amendment, if approved, increasing funding to schools across Minnesota.

SF 3432, provides appropriations for public safety and security measures, including investments in the public safety radio and crime victims account.

HF 3629, strengthens grant management provisions, including payment withholding in cases of credible fraud allegations and required program integrity reporting.

SF 4401, streamlines the medical and adult-use cannabis supply chains and explores a new therapeutic psilocybin program, requiring the Office of Cannabis Management to develop a feasibility study.

SF 4612, health and human services supplemental appropriations omnibus, including HR1 compliance and state share investments for Medicaid and SNAP, childcare licensing modifications, and funding for food security to both food shelves and food banks.

SF 5200, makes technical corrections to address oversights, inconsistencies, and unintended statutory errors.
