[ST. PAUL, MN] – Today, Governor Tim Walz signed nine bills.

HF 3593 designates a portion of marked Trunk Highway 58 in Zumbrota as the “Officer/Firefighter Gary L. Schroeder, Jr. Memorial Highway.” 

HF 3453 raises the legal age to possess kratom to 21 years or older. 

SF 1251 removes the expiration of the crossbow hunting and fishing allowance. 

SF 3868 prohibits the placement or operation of virtual currency kiosks in Minnesota. 

SF 3887 allows watershed districts to self-insure for certain employee health benefits. 

HF 3676  modifies provisions of the Safe at Home program and provides protections and remedies. 

HF 4133 prohibits certain exclusions in homeowners' insurance policies when damage is caused by a peace officer. 

HF 3782 requires disclosure of chemical irritants used by peace officers in certain buildings. 

HF 3827 clarifies certain Bureau of Criminal Apprehension grants to local law enforcement as reimbursements, updates laws related to the recording of crimes, establishes a process for determining when certain criminal records are ineligible for sealing, and requires courts to provide orders for protection for law enforcement access.
