Certification Advisory Committee
The Certification Advisory Committee provides MNCAB with advice and expertise related to the certification of competency attainment programs and the competency attainment curriculum.
By statute, the Certification Advisory Committee must:
- Consult with the Department of Human Services, the Department of Health, and the Department of Corrections
- Make recommendations to the State Competency Attainment Board about:
- Competency attainment curriculum
- Certification requirements for competency attainment programs, including jail-based programs,
- Certification of individuals to provide competency attainment services, and
- Provide information and recommendations on other relevant issues as requested by the Board.
Membership for the Committee is established in Minn. Stat. 611.57, subd. 2. Members serve without compensation and at the pleasure of the appointing authority. Vacancies are filled by the appointing authority consistent with the qualifications of the vacating member as required in the statute.
