Enterprise-Wide Mentorship Matching Program
Mentorship is a powerful tool to foster professional growth, share knowledge and build career development paths through state government. The enterprise-wide mentorship matching program connects mentees and mentors from across state agencies.

Interest Form: Become a Mentor
Interest forms are reviewed every other month. Matches between mentees and mentors are made based on aligned goals and skills, as well as availability. Submitting an interest form does not guarantee a match. Your interest form can remain in the pool to consider for future matches.
About mentorship
Mentorship can be a meaningful relationship for both mentee and mentor. Mentees learn from their mentor’s experience, identifying key skills, strategies and decisions that could unlock their career. Working with a mentor could help you:
- Gain invaluable insights from a seasoned industry professional.
- Enhance your professional development and growth.
- Expand your personal and professional network.
- Increase your self-awareness.
- Create meaningful connections.
In return, mentors expand their professional network and perspectives. Mentoring might be a good fit for you if you’d like to:
- Support state employees and contribute to their development.
- Connect with others across the enterprise.
- Strengthen your leadership and coaching skills.
- Get an opportunity to reflect on your career path and share your experience.
About the Enterprise-wide Mentorship Matching Program
The Enterprise-wide Mentorship Matching Program matches prospective mentees and mentors based on aligned goals, skills, experiences and more. Once matched, mentors and mentees will be added to an enterprise mentorship community to share resources, ask questions and get support from enterprise staff and peers.
Finding a mentor through the enterprise-wide program empowers mentees to work with a mentor who understands how to navigate career growth in state government, while gaining perspective from someone outside their team or organization.
This program, and its preceding pilot, were launched in response to findings from the biennial Employee Engagement and Inclusion Survey and exit survey data, both of which highlight the need to strengthen employee connection, growth and retention across state government.
