[ST. PAUL, MN] – Governor Tim Walz today issued two writs of special election to fill vacancies in State House Districts 47A and 64A.

Special elections to fill the vacancies will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. If necessary, special primary elections for nomination of candidates will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Affidavits of candidacy and nominating petitions may be filed with the Secretary of State or the county auditors of Ramsey and Washington Counties (for District 47A) or the county auditor of Ramsey County (for District 64A) from November 18, 2025 until 5:00 p.m. on November 25, 2025.
