Governor Walz, Lieutenant Governor Flanagan Announce Appointments

[ST. PAUL, MN] – Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan today announced the following appointments to the Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy, the Board of Podiatric Medicine, the Board of Veterinary Medicine, the Minnesota State High School League Board of Directors, the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Board, the Governor’s Workforce Development Board, the Commission of the Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing, the Governor’s Council on an Age-Friendly Minnesota, the Board of Barber Examiners, and the Governor’s Task Force on Broadband.

The GWDB is tasked with advising the Governor, state agencies, and the Legislature on issues related to the state’s public workforce development system, along with overseeing the state’s four-year WIOA State Plan.

About the Governor’s Task Force on Broadband:

The Governor’s Task Force on Broadband is a multi-stakeholder group that represents the various types of broadband users (residential, business, education, healthcare, labor, tribal, local government) and providers (telephone, cable, and cellular companies). Working together, the Task Force advises the Governor and the Legislature on broadband policy, including: strategies for achieving the State’s broadband goals, an assessment of digital inclusion issues and gaps and mechanisms to address them, and strategies to bring the benefits of universal access to broadband to all communities in Minnesota.
