[ST. PAUL, MN] – Governor Tim Walz today signed Chapter 44, SF 3472 into law, stabilizing Minnesota’s individual health insurance market and lowering premium costs for consumers across the state.

SF 3472 authorizes the state’s reinsurance program to operate for five years and funds the program for three years. It also requires that health plans cover postnatal visits and offer products with more affordable prescription drug benefits.
