A special election in the current Congressional District 1 to fill the vacancy will be held on Tuesday, August 9. If necessary, a special primary election in the current Congressional District 1 will be held on Tuesday, May 24. Affidavits of candidacy and nominating petitions must be filed with the Secretary of State between Tuesday, March 1 and 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15.
