[ST. PAUL, MN] – Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan today announced the following appointment to the MNsure Board of Directors.
Daniel Trajano – Savage, MN
MNsure Board of Directors
Member Representing the Areas of Health Administration, Health Care Finance, Health Plan Purchasing, and Health Care Delivery Systems
Effective: January 12, 2022
Term Expires: May 5, 2025
Replacing: Peter Benner
About Daniel Trajano
Dr. Trajano is the Founder and President of Pop Health Consulting. He previously worked as the Vice President and Senior Medical Director for Government Markets for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, as the Vice President and Executive Medical Director focused on population health for HealthEast Care System, as the Vice President and Senior Medical Director focused on population health for Medica, and as the Senior Medical Director focused on quality, innovation, and public health for Park Nicollet – HealthPartners. He also previously practiced as a physician with the University of Minnesota and worked as a science teacher at Burnsville High School. He received his B.A. from Carleton College, his M.D. from the University of Minnesota, and his M.B.A. in Health Care from the University of St. Thomas.
About the MNsure Board of Directors
The MNsure Board of Directors is responsible for MNsure governance. The Board also creates certification requirements for insurance providers and establishes policies and procedures for public comment, the navigator program, in-person assistance program, call center, and customer service.
