[ST. PAUL, MN] – Governor Tim Walz today signed three bills into law.

Chapter 20, House File 3022 makes technical changes to state statutes and corrects erroneous and obsolete statutory references.

Chapter 21, House File 2551 makes technical changes to state statutes that allows the completion of recodification for the new Department of Children, Youth, and Families.

Chapter 22, House File 286 authorizes cities and counties to conduct national background checks for applications for a license to operate an adult entertainment establishment or to provide massage services. Currently, the law authorizes background checks that only include records within the state.
